• My partner and I worked together on a PowerPoint artifact by analyzing the Towson University Gold Standards and using them as a basis for reviewing a course that we had taken in the past. We wanted to highlight the effective methods that were used with integrating technology that we might not have noticed the first time around as we were busy being students during that time. I went through the course and curated my own set of notes and thoughts on the course before meeting with my partner. I looked at things from both an educator as well as a student point of view. This program has taught me the importance of looking at things from both lenses and making sure to design as well as review my own/others work from both angles. Overall, I was able to find multiple things that I felt were effective, but also aspects that could be improved upon. The review was not perfect, but it did recognize the effective integration of different technological aspects of a course. Looking back, it went very well due to this being an early course in our education, but the ideas stayed relevant as we continued our studies and application in our own jobs. This is useful to anyone in instructional education or design because it allows an instructional leader to evaluate another course or even their own for effectiveness.
