  • Scope and Summary: This paper presents collection development policy scenarios. The scenarios required me to apply collection development policies and consider factors such as mission statements, intellectual freedom, diversity, equity, and curriculum alignment.

    • This principle involves me engaging in ongoing professional learning and using evidence to evaluate my practice, specifically the effects of how my choices can effect other stakeholders in the building as well as how students can be affected from my decisions.
    • The scenarios required me to analyze different situations and make decisions based on ethical considerations and professional standards.
    • This process encourages critical reflection on ethical practice and the importance of considering the impact of collection development decisions on all learners.
